
Dr. Yu, is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Washington, a Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MD in China) and a Diplomate in Acupuncture, which is entitled by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He has been practicing Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine since 1983 and has been trained both in China and the United States.

He graduated from Taizhou University Medical School (formerly known as Taizhou Health School) majoring Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1983, and he graduated from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (formerly known as Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine) majoring Acupuncture and Moxibustion in 1992. He received his Master’s of Science Degree in Acupuncture from Bastyr University after he came to the USA.
He worked as a TCM Practitioner (MD) and Acupuncturist in the Acupuncture & Moxibustion Department in Huzhou Central Hospital (formerly known as the People’s Hospital of Jiaxing District and the 2nd People’s Hospital of Huzhou) and was the acting director in the Rehabilitation Department for 15 years before he left China. During the period of working in China, he cooperated with his colleagues in many departments and conducted many clinical trials, which later became the treatment protocols in the cross-disciplinary fields, such as using Medicinal Vesiculating Moxibustion to treat Asthma in the summer seasons with Pediatric Department, using combined Body Acupuncture with Scalp Acupuncture to treat Hemiplegia due to CVA in the earlier stage when patients became stabilized from the critical stage with Intensive Care Units, using Auricular Acupuncture combined with Chinese Herb Decoction to treat Gallbladder Stone and Kidney Stone with Surgery Department, using Acupuncture to treat Post Partum Urinary Retention with Obstetrical Department, using acupuncture to treat the symptoms of Prolapsed Vertebral Discs with Orthopedic Department, using Acupuncture to treat some eye diseases with Ophthalmic Department, using Acupuncture combined with Chinese Herbs to treat Dysmenorrhea, Infertilities with Gynaecological Department, using Acupuncture treat Erectile Dysfunction with Urogenital Department, and using acupuncture to support body immune and treat the side effects from Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy with Oncology Department, etc. Through these effective practices, He and his colleagues helped patients significantly shortened the time needed for them to recover from diseases, avoided from surgeries and significantly reduced their medical expenses.
After he left China, He worked as an Acupuncturist in Kuwait for 5 years in a private health care center, which was a part of a fitness facility. In Kuwait, He mainly treat people with sports related problems, such as muscle and joints injuries, pain, arthritis, frozen shoulders, overweight, prolapsed vertebral discs, and stress, etc. After he came to the USA, he received training in the fields of immune wellness care for HIV and AIDS patients and detoxification for drugs, smoking and alcohol abusers. He is a licensed Acupuncturist and practicing in the State of Washington now.
