As one of the founders of Medfinds.com, I am constantly amazed at the recent explosion of interest in alternative and integrative medicine. I believe that over the next decade, with increasing public discourse about the prohibitive costs and potential harm of conventional health care, we will surely witness a sea change in popular medical treatment.

My background is in the study of naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University in Washington, and before that the study of history and philosophy of science at the University of Pittsburgh. I am involved with clinical research on herbal supplements at the University of Washington Medical Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
