![]() ![]() What "new science" is first starting to discover the Chinese have been putting into practice for thousands of years - there is no difference between physical matter and "energy". From the air you breathe, the food you eat, the cells in your body, and the ground you're standing on… it is all energy, arranged and expressed in different forms. The Chinese refer to this energy as Qi. First observed in Nature, there is a cycle or flow to this energy with five distinct phases, each one depending on the other for balance. The most obvious example of this cycle of energy lies within the seasons and the transformations that occur during the year. Take a moment and think about how each one looks, sounds, smells, tastes, and vibrates your core… As we experience these moments in Nature, in essence, we are experiencing that which exists within ourselves… how? Because the "laws" governing the flow of energy that fuels the seasons, are the very same laws governing the energy that fuels our body, mind, and spirit! Today these five phases are most commonly referred to as the Five Elements – Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Classical Five Element Acupuncture goes straight for the energetic root of an individual's dis-ease by mindfully working with Nature's Laws to restore the flow of energy that holds the potential for all of us to attain physical, mental, and spiritual enlightenment… David Tucker is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and massage practitioner. He did his TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) training, receiving his Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University and his massage training through the Brenneke School of Massage. In pursuit of a deeper level of growth and healing, David embarked on the journey of Classical Five Element Acupuncture in Portland, OR and Corte Madera, CA under the guidance and wisdom of David Ford, L.Ac., and Khosrow Khalighi, L.Ac. Studying and working with the 5 Elements is his passion, and he considers himself a lifelong student of Nature's medicine. David embraces the philosophy of seeing his patients as "teachers", and that all which is needed along the path to healing of the mind, body, and spirit are already within us… we just need a gentle reminder sometimes. ![]() - David Tucker, MSAOM, L.Ac, LMP Contact David Tucker, MSAOM, L.Ac, LMP**While visitors may post any questions they wish, the posted answers to those questions should not be misconstrude as a diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment recommendation. I especially liked his use of tuning forks (talk about getting relaxed!). I highly recommend him if you have a need for an acupuncturist!”” -- Anita, Seattle WA More | Login to Leave Feedback “David Tucker is absolutely fantastic and he is a master of his craft.
I originally went to see him for a skin condition and he managed to
fix everything else while he was at it. Everyone can benefit from
this sort of care.
” -- Troy, Woodinville WA More | Login to Leave Feedback “ As an active participant in several injury-prone sports, I
found myself with a recurring foot injury. My M.D. prescribed a
walking cast and an indefinite amount of rest. Frustrated by this,
especially with athletic events looming on the horizon, I was
pleasantly surprised when David offered to take a look at my foot and
see what he could do to get me back in fighting form. For starters,
he spent more time examining my foot than every other health care
professional I had seen combined. David then recommended a tandem
approach of acupuncture and massage. I had never tried acupuncture
before, but he patiently explained (and demonstrated) the process, and
we set to work on a rather intensive treatment regimen. Three weeks
later, I was able to compete. I don't believe I would have been
capable of that level of performance had I just stayed in the walking
boot. I credit David's expertise in helping me to achieve healing
above and beyond the limitations of static rest.
Even though I originally sought treatment for a specific
injury, David's approach intrinsically takes life's other issues into
account. He treats the whole person. I'll continue to experience
David's combination of acupuncture, massage, and meditation in an
effort to manage stress and stay healthy. And of course, the next
time I wind up in a cast, I know where my first stop will be...” -- Ricki, Lynnwood WA More | Login to Leave Feedback Providers BlogsBlogs
